Privacy & cookies
How Hawk Builders handles the personal information you send through this website.
Before publishing
Two details still need filling in below, both marked [TO CONFIRM]: the contact email for privacy requests, and the registered business name and address if Hawk Builders is a limited company.
Who we are
Hawk Builders is a building contractor operating in London. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller for information submitted through this website.
[TO CONFIRM] — registered business name, company number and registered address, if applicable.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies. There is no analytics, advertising or social media tracking on it, which is why you are not being asked to accept anything. If that changes, this page will be updated and a consent banner added.
What we collect
If you complete the enquiry form we collect what you choose to give us: your name, phone number, the postcode of the property, a description of your project, and optionally your email address, the stage the project has reached, an approximate budget, and how you would prefer to be contacted.
Why we use it
For one purpose: to respond to your enquiry, discuss the project, arrange a site visit where useful, and prepare a quotation. The lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to someone who has asked us to quote for building work — and, where you go ahead, performance of a contract.
We will not add you to a mailing list, and we will not use your details to market unrelated services.
Who sees it
Enquiries are handled by Lovely and, where relevant to quoting or carrying out the work, by the trades and suppliers working on your project.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare and enquiry emails are delivered by Resend, both acting as processors on our behalf. If you contact us by WhatsApp, that conversation is carried over WhatsApp's own service under their terms. We do not sell or share your information with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not proceed are kept only as long as they are useful for following up, then deleted. Where we carry out work for you, records are kept as long as we are required to for tax, insurance and warranty purposes.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Contact us on 07592 610882 or at [TO CONFIRM — email address].
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
