Ask anyone who has had building work done what went wrong and it is rarely the brickwork. It is that nobody could say what was included. It is that the tiles turned out to be their responsibility, not the builder's, and nobody mentioned it until the plasterer had finished.
Those are not craftsmanship problems. They are paperwork and communication problems, and they are fixable.
So we price by stage and trade, write down the assumptions the price rests on, and put a name against every item that could plausibly be either side's responsibility. It makes quoting slower. It also means the conversation at the end is about the work.

Quality
The parts you cannot see decide how long the work lasts — drainage, insulation, damp-proofing and the electrics behind the walls. They get the same attention as the finish.

A quote you can compare
Most building quotes are one number with a paragraph under it, which makes comparing two builders impossible. Ours is broken down by stage and trade and states the assumptions the price rests on. If another quote is cheaper, you will see exactly where.

Who supplies what, in writing
The commonest dispute on a domestic build is the grey area over who was buying the tiles, the sanitaryware, the doors. Every quote lists items individually with a name against each — down to the adhesive, grout and trims.

Communication
Lovely takes the first call, prices the job and stays the point of contact through the build and handover. No call centre, no rotating manager, no repeating yourself.

Project management
Materials and trades booked in the right order, so the plasterer is not standing in a room the electrician has not finished. It is the least glamorous part of contracting and the main reason projects run late.

Site visit
We come and look. Access, existing structure and ground conditions decide more about a build than any drawing does.
Itemised quotation
A written quote broken down by stage and trade, stating the assumptions the price rests on and listing who supplies each item and who fits it.
Construction
Materials and trades sequenced in the right order so the job does not stall waiting on itself. One point of contact throughout.
Completion and handover
A walkthrough of the finished work, certification for the works carried out, and a direct number if anything needs attention afterwards.
